Variable New World Cycle

Event Slider

The importance of the knowledge generated by fundamental science in the search for solutions to fight the new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, is unquestionable. During the health crisis that we are experiencing, we have witnessed a mobilization of the entire scientific community, as well as a self-organization of society, with the common goal of fighting the pandemic and supporting the National Health System and vulnerable citizens.

What can we learn from these experiences? In this session we will explore whether it is possible to continue to promote greater proximity and collaboration between government agencies, research centres and civil society in times of normality.

ABOUT THE CYCLE

This three-session cycle will explore the connection between science and society as a fundamental tool to overcome the  Covid-19 crisis and to build a new reality. In the exceptional times that we are living through, that connection is clearer than ever. And indeed, it shall be thanks to science, vaccines, and mathematical models, as well as to the behavior of citizens and the decisions of our politicians, that we will overcome this pandemic.
