“Cultural democracy is like sustainability: it only happens at a local scale”
As part of the “Ideias a Atos” meeting, held last April, we spoke with Narcisa Costa (Gulbenkian Foundation) and Luís Sousa Ferreira (D. Maria II National Theatre), who oversee the ATOS programme, about its development since 2023 and the role of municipalities in fostering cultural practices more deeply rooted in local communities.
