Portuguese science picks up points
Portugal was one of the countries with the largest number of scientists awarded by the American Howard Hughes Foundation.
Karina Xavier and Miguel Godinho Ferreira, scientists at the IGC – the Gulbenkian Science Institute, are two of the five Portuguese scientists selected by the renowned America foundation the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and correspondingly recipients of five years of project financing. Portugal was one of the countries with the largest number of selected scientists.
